This role is an exciting opportunity to provide HR leadership and
support to our CSCM senior leadership team and their organizations. CSCM is responsible
for Product Development, E-Business, Corporate Marketing, Customer Service,
Operational Training and Audit, Claims Processing, and Installation and
Membership. This organization's effectiveness in developing
market-leading
products, creating innovative marketing strategies, and providing
excellent
service to our members, is core to Blue Shield's success.
In partnership with the CSCM leadership and the BSC HR teams, you will
support the corporate HR strategy to effectively enable the organization's
strategy, goals and objectives. You will enjoy a high level of freedom in
identifying, recommending and leading the implementation of creative HR initiatives
to drive business results.
As a key member of the CSCM HR leadership team, you will:
- Play a leadership role in all aspects of the organization's business
strategy, leadership development, organization development and execution.
- Partner with leadership team members to effectively deliver Human
Resource services, both directly and as a "broker" between the business unit and
BSC's Corporate HR functions (e.g. Talent Acquisition, Compensation and
Employee Relations).
- Serve as a change agent and consultant to CSCM in support of BSC
vision, mission, values, culture and strategy.
- Support CSCM leadership to ensure efficient and effective
organizational results are achieved though effective execution of human capital
strategies (e.g. competency development, org design, top talent development
planning and hiring, employee engagement and retention planning)
- Partner with leaders to support key projects, develop talent and
effectively accomplish goals. Coach leaders and managers on performance management
principles and practices.
- Play a key role as part of a multi-business unit HR management team to
create a united and coordinated approach to ensure that our HR strategy is
effectively executed and supportive of our business agenda.
- Identify and proactively raise organizational issues and trends;
diagnose processes, structures and approach; recommend alternatives and implement
initiatives for improved effectiveness.
- Develop and clarify BSC present and future skills and competencies.
Act as "external search" consultant regarding skills and talents to be
brought into CSCM.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree and seven years of strategic HR leadership experience
or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors Degree in
Organization Development, preferred.
- Successful results as a HRgeneralist and demonstrated experience in
developing and implementing changeinitiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent decision making/analysis skills
- Strategic design/change management experience
- Strong coaching and consulting skills.
- Extensive knowledge of federal, state and local laws as they pertain to HR practices.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience diagnosing organizational issues, scoping and leading implementation of HR solutions.
- Proven track record leading cross-functional teams to achieve business results.
- Extensive knowledge of federal, state and local laws as they pertain to HR practices.
- Excellent human relations and verbal/written communications skills.
